Anne Côté

Anne Côté is a retired lawyer (since march 2019) and a corporate director with over 35 years of experience in business, particularly in the fields of healthcare, venture capital and technology commercialization. Mrs Côté practiced law for multiple years before joining Hydro-Québec where she joined the team in charge of strategic planning. From 2004 to 2016, she was the Vice-President, Legal & Corporate Affairs & Communications at Groupe Santé Sedna Inc., a healthcare company that specializes in residence for the elderly and persons in need of assistance as well as in providing specialized healthcare to those persons. Anne Côté was appointed by Quebec’s Minister of Finance to sit as an independent director on the Board of Directors of the Chambre de la sécurité financière, Canada’s only multidisciplinary self-regulatory organization. She is also the 2nd Vice-President of the Board of Directors and is a member of the Governance Committee and the Compliance Committee of such Board. She was also an independent director of the CIUSSS-de-l’Est-de-l’Île-deMontréal, is a member of the Audit Committee and is the chair of the Governance & Ethics Committee of that Board.

Mrs Côté is a graduate of University of Montréal (LL.B.), is a member of the Barreau du Québec, was a member of the Alberta Bar and is also a graduate of McGill University (graduate program in Management Science) . Anne Côté holds an ICD.D certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
